Love for one’s country begins with cherishing the national flag and the national anthem. From this, voluntary loyalty, a sense of responsibility, and a strong national identity naturally develop, allowing the roots of true patriotism to take hold.

Love of Neighbors
Love for one’s neighbor begins with understanding and compassion. When we open our hearts to those around us, mutual respect and trust take root, creating a community where everyone feels seen and valued. By extending kindness beyond ourselves, we build bridges that strengthen our shared humanity.

Love of Justice
Justice means speaking the truth about what you see and feel, not yielding to injustice, and standing with equality and love so that you can boldly distinguish right from wrong.
평화사랑
Love of Peace
Love is forgiveness and reconciliation, a virtue of life. It must transcend the boundaries of race and nation to become a love that brings peace. Conflict arises from a lack of understanding, and only when we achieve harmonious goodwill can true peace be attained.
The Hwarang Foundation’s Purpose of Establishment and Ideology
Hwarang International seeks to respect the diverse cultures of countries around the world and promote cultural exchange between nations, leading cooperative initiatives for shared cultural development. By understanding and sharing each country’s unique culture, our goal is to build and realize a global cultural community.
In particular, we provide various development programs that help young people at home and abroad grow into creative and passionate global leaders. Based on the spirit of the Five Hwarang Principles, we aim to put the values of the Five Love Principles into practice and cultivate an international civic identity that contributes to community building and active cultural exchange.
In addition, we work to expand cultural and human exchanges for youth and young adults and support service activities that offer practical help in the field, ultimately striving to realize a global community in which people around the world are connected as one. By strengthening cultural understanding and cooperation, we promote communication and interaction among global citizens.
What is Hwarang?
“Hwarang will create leaders, and those leaders will change the world.”
Hwarang refers to an elite group of young men and women in ancient Shilla who were trained through a wide range of educational opportunities grounded in a spirit of national service. Building on this legacy, Hwarang International is a group of goal-driven future leaders. Hwarang plays a role in advancing love and peace, contributing to the development of local communities.
Each member of Hwarang is a sincere and passionate leader who holds deep respect for their community and takes pride in coming together to take on global challenges. “Hwarang will create leaders, and those leaders will change the world.” The Hwarang Foundation and Save Our Society serve as valuable resources that help students and young adults grow into effective and impactful leaders in their communities.
Hwarang International’s Mission
We take the lead in cultivating global leaders and providing international civic identity education to promote active international exchange. We work to meet humanitarian needs between nations, encourage peace, and foster international understanding through Hwarang.
