Hwarang Korea Chapter
About Our Chapter
BeWick is a Hwarang chapter based at Chadwick International School, founded on the belief that quiet action can create lasting change. Established in 2024 after separating from HwarangWICK, BeWick has steadily grown through sincere effort and a strong commitment to community service.
Over the past year, BeWick members have led a variety of initiatives, including creating relief kits for low-income families, carrying out local environmental improvement projects, providing educational support for underserved students, and collaborating with animal shelters to promote animal welfare.
One of the most meaningful developments this year was the transformation of our educational support activities. We shifted from online tutoring for children on Baengnyeongdo Island to mentoring families with disabilities in the Incheon area. While Incheon is known for having relatively well-established welfare services for people with disabilities, we discovered that the emotional and economic challenges faced by these families are not widely recognized. Through this program, our members experienced the true meaning of service — going beyond simply teaching to truly listening, communicating, and growing together.
The name BeWick reflects our mission: to be a small but steady light that quietly illuminates the path for others. We continue this journey with conviction, purpose, and warmth, believing that service can bring lasting change to both our communities and ourselves.
