Foundation Purpose & Philosophy
Hwarang International respects diverse cultures around the world, promotes cultural exchange between nations, and leads collaborative projects for shared cultural advancement. Our goal is to build and realize a global cultural community by understanding and sharing each nation’s unique culture.
In particular, we provide diverse development programs so that young people both domestically and internationally can grow into creative and passionate global leaders. Based on the spirit of the Five Hwarang Principles, we aim to cultivate international citizenship that practices the values of the Five Principles of Love and contributes to community building and active cultural exchange.
Furthermore, we strive to expand cultural and interpersonal exchanges for youth, and by supporting volunteer activities that provide practical help on the ground, we ultimately work to realize a global community where people worldwide are connected as one. By strengthening cultural understanding and cooperation, we promote communication and exchange among global citizens.

The Five Principles of Love
Love of Family
The true learning of love begins with family and takes root in the embrace of community. Home is a place of comfort and refuge, and love for family becomes a light that illuminates love for all humanity.
Love of Country
Patriotism begins with cherishing the flag and the nation. Through this, voluntary loyalty, responsibility, and a strong national identity are naturally formed, and the roots of true patriotism take hold.
Love of Neighbor
Love of neighbor begins with understanding and compassion. When we open our hearts to those around us, mutual respect and trust take root, creating a community where everyone is recognized and valued. When we extend kindness beyond ourselves to others, we build bridges that strengthen our shared humanity.
Love of Justice
Justice means speaking the truth about what we see and feel, never yielding to injustice, and standing firm with equality and love to boldly discern right from wrong.
Love of Peace
Love is forgiveness and reconciliation, a virtue of life. To become a love that brings peace, we must transcend the boundaries of race and nation. Conflict arises from a lack of understanding, and true peace can be realized when harmonious goodwill is achieved.
